流FEELING

流feeling可能是一种病毒。

“全球化加速甲型H1N1传播”——《和谐之旅》。所以病毒是最容易全球化的事物。病毒是最原始的生命体,具有增殖、遗传和演化等生命最基本特征,人类本身也是病毒或病毒的变异。按原理说,我们无法拒绝和消灭病毒。尤其在物流、人流、信息流、资金流空前频繁的今天,病毒不仅是一种有机生物体,已然异化成一种精巧严谨,臻于完美的建立于系统自身而又破环系统的代码,寄生于网络,金融等系统,形成定期发作的症候。但病毒在破坏系统运行机制的同时在物质循环和能量交流中,也有为新力量再生提供可能的积极作用,所以一种病态足以成为常态。因此,流feeling不可也不能消除。

流feeling可能是一种直觉。

它类似心里学概念和文学体裁。“流”有流动,流变,流派等意思,“feeling”有感觉,感受,感想等解释,任意组合它们则派生出多种歧义。而每个词义的生成源于一种直觉和意识的自由流动。非理性主义认为直觉是认识世界本体的唯一根据,世界的本体是生命冲动和意识的绵延。由此,流feeling是一种证明自身和面对世界的可能。

事实上,流feeling是一个不存在的词语和不具有的事物。

LIU FEELING

"Liu Feeling"may be a kind of virus.
"Globalization has accelerated the spread of A-H1N1 Influenza". We can say that virus is the thing which is most easily globalizing. Virus is the most primitive life with its basic features of proliferation, genetics and evolution. Human life is a mutation form of virus or a kind of virus. By principle we cannot refuse and eradicate virus, especially in today’s world of unprecedented frequent transmitting of information, logistics, and human-traveling. Virus is not only a pure organic life, but has converted itself into a delicate, sophisticated and even perfect code which has established a system, but also can break this system itself. It is a parasite existing in network or financial systems with regular breaking out. But when virus breaks the system’s operating mechanism it will also provide positive effects which regenerate the new force of energy during the process of carrying out the material recycle and executing the energy exchanges. A form of sickness is effective to become a form of normality.
"Liu Feeling"may be a kind of intuitive feeling.
It seems like a psychological concept or certain genre of literature. "Liu" has the meaning of flow, evolution, and sect. "Feeling" has the meaning of emotion, senses and thoughts. The combination of "Liu" and "Feeling"generates a variety of ambiguities. Meanwhile, the generation of each word is produced from a free flowing source of intuition and consciousness. Non-rationalism holds the idea that intuitive feeling is the sole basis for knowing the world-in-itself. The ontology of world is the impulse of life and the continuousness of consciousness. Thus, "Liu Feeling"is a possibility of self proof and confrontation of the world.
In fact, “Liu Feeling” is not an existing word or an unborn thing.

The Globalization syndrome
I’m addicted to Coca-Cola. Since I was a child and tasted it, I began having this sort of dependance from it. Whenever I wanted to be lucky for something, I used to make a vow, and the vow was to resist drinking Coca-Cola. It tastes sweet and spicy, fresh when icy but sticky after a while. It does not take your thirst away, it makes you more thirsty for more Coca-Cola. Is it the caffeine..? The sugar? ..Or the undisclosed list of “natural aroms” which a pharmacist in Atlanta mixed so well once to create a tonic drink against colds? The answer is not important anymore….exactly as many other answers that have lost their meaning in the compulsive speed of our postmodern civilization. When Wang Sishun addressed the idea of globalization as a silent pandemic illness of which we are all aware but cannot escape from, the image of Coca-Cola flashed in my mind. Because what globalization also has, beside an illness-like nature, is a teasing quality. Coca-Cola is something artificial but which comes from natural ingredients. It has a mixed taste, it creates the need for itself and eventually an addiction. It is available for everybody, everywhere, at any time. It is gay and unpretentious, definitely democratic. It is born to be identical to itself and it refers only to itself. It changes slightly its packaging, and formulas, becoming “diet coke” “caffeine free coke”, “zero coke” etc.. but its own nature remains untouched and keeps doing what it does best : reproducing itself and spreading around.Think about its advertising “Coke is it!” The same goes with the idea of globalization. This idea grows like a silent virus we cannot avoid and of which, so far, we only have a vague understanding. It’s growing but its effects are still unclear….and, unlike a virus, it is somehow appealing and addictive because it teases certain specific needs of all human beings. What is globalization? What globalization are we talking about? The first important step would be to make something clear: there are at least two globalization, the one of the goods and the one of human beings. Goods are really globalized; they travel all around the world, regardless of the fact that they are produced, assembled, created, found or captured in different places. Goods do not seem to have hard feelings about this condition and essentially they become available for everybody everywhere, anytime. We have cherries at Christmas, shrimps fished in the North sea, packaged in Morocco and sold in Spain, or Nile perches caught in Tanzania and sold in Europe in exchange for Russian weapons for African revolutions…and so on….the same for computers, cars, clothes etcc. All these products are “citizens of the world”. Then there is the globalization of people, that essentially can be resumed to the result of three conditions: economic speculation, production needs and desperation. The first condition is what created a globalized market: corporate capitalism cut lose from political and state control boundaries, proliferates everywhere, exploiting people and natural resources to achieve enormous profit shared among very few individuals. These individuals, as a matter of fact, enjoy a globalized luxury life-style, being invisible and moving from country to country, from network to network.The second condition is the one of those people who, not to lose what they have, are forced to move from country to country, from job to job to beat the odds of a tremendous market competition. The third condition is the one of the millions of clandestine emigrants and outcasts that are the waist of the globalization process. They run away from war, genocide, poverty,….and they move from place to place being anytime kicked-out or running invisible existences often ending up in silent forgotten tragedies. What is then the so-called “cultural globalization” ? Again we are facing at least two situations; one is the spreading of a repetitive, flat and superficial mass culture, its weapon being the manipulative power of kitsch aesthetics, and its essence being very close to the one of information and advertising in our days: the medium has become the message and the meaning is lost. The other one, that we can call “cultural contamination” is a more complex and interesting process that might or not happen, according to the fact that this global scenario will allow or not an authentic exchange among an effectively open society. Cultural contamination is possible and it would constitute the real value, from the humanistic point of view, of the globalization process, but it does not seem to me that it has started yet. In the arts and culture I see eastern art borrowing western mediums and ideas, allowing as a reaction, the inevitable patronizing western attitude which pretends to show the way to everybody. This confrontation creates “nostalgic” attitudes which focus on tradition in a wrong way, feeding nationalist or conservative attitudes. Barriers are built instead of destroyed. Art resolves itself in being art about art or art about the market.This mechanism is a parasite, a sterile entity. My hope is that another kind of dialogue could be established, based on human curiosity and life-experience in different environments. I hope that a deep and yet simpler, non–intellectual form of respect and integration would grow from the encounter of different cultures. I hope that this dialogue will be born around dinner tables, in obscure little restaurants and cafes, among people sharing food, drinks and cigarettes, wrapped by smells and fumes, making efforts to speak languages they don’t know well, to name things which belong to life and not to scholar researches or business plans. I hope this will set the conditions for an art born out of necessity and vision instead of cold achademic inputs and calculate market moves. I hope the idea of culture for initiates and the one of culture as trivial mass reproduction of ideas and goods will be replaced by an idea of culture not detached by life, acting as a tool to better understand and practice it.
