展览概念：

在地图上以时间和地域来看丝绸之路就是一部波澜壮阔的人类史。丝绸之路的历史就是一个游牧的历史，中国是这个游牧链的起点或终点，在这条游牧链上陶瓷是以移动的方式沿着丝绸之路一路西行，被解读或误读成不同的国家文化符号的，从7-8世纪瓷器在中国发明到1709年在欧洲出现，一千多年的时间里，不同文化中对瓷器的解读和态度就是一部绚烂的人类史；文化、宗教、科学乃至政治，都以一种传说的方式参与进来，并在查尔斯特立所说的“类型塑成”中对各民族文化性格的形成起了很大作用。

奥斯曼帝国的始祖曾说“永远要移动，不要停下来”当代社会的游牧化是一个伴生的当代特质，在德勒兹与加塔利看来，精神分裂者、块茎、游牧者都是后现代主题。但游牧从来就是定居文明眼中的“他者”，也可能是我们眼中最主要的“他者”，丝绸之路其实更多是以“他者”的视角片段化地在传播着，一直传播到今天，一直传播到把丝绸之路的起点变成一个过程。

当代中国陶瓷是由三个词组组成；“当代”“中国”“陶瓷” 而这三个词组在今天都语焉不详，如何组合更是一个问题。是要以国籍、血统还是文化作为标准来判断一个人是否中国人？是否当代是要以历史观的前当代还是要以后现代语境的后当代来分别？而陶瓷更是一个复杂的语言游戏场所；陶瓷是文化、技术、传统、实用、历史。还是科技或材料？或者就是一个类宗教? 不同的解读组合都会产生一个指向，就像笛福的殖民否认。而这些混乱的指向又相互矛盾着可能成为否认对方的借口。

这个展览也不仅仅只是艺术家作品的集中，其中一个重要的元素是进行的一项实验，即混血儿实验；拆分艺术家个体视角而以一种共同创作方式的努力，来消解控制而呈现出多方解读的可能性。这是因为当代游牧文化不是以“我们”适应的文化方式记录和传播，“我们”对陶瓷其他因素的引入都充满了误读，这种误读是指终点接收方的信息与起点输出方的信息的不对称。中间流通环节越多，误读就越丰富，情节就越丰满。正确解读只是一个简单的传输行为，而误读则充满了文化，误读是一部宏大的人类史。尽管这些误读有时会产生后果甚至灾难性的后果。就人类史来说，如果灾难本身是一个无法避免的现实，直面这些误读也许可以让我们身处历史之中更为宽容。
