第七届NORDOX北欧纪录片电影节将会放映来自丹麦，芬兰，冰岛，挪威和瑞典北欧五国的优秀纪录片。除北京站、上海站和广州站的纪录片展映之外，今年我们还设立了北欧摄影展览以及跟财新传媒合作的纪录片与新闻交流座谈会。

今年，NORDOX选取了若干方向，通过不同类型的纪录片展映来同大家一起解读国际问题。首先，从展示北欧两名艺术家的生活开始，纪录的分别是一位挪威波普艺术家和一位冰岛谐星从政的故事；其次，我们把视点聚焦在阿富汗，导演们在战争和入侵的大背景下，透过独特的北欧视角为我们呈现出了非常具有冲击力的跨文化交流问题；最后，我们会跟大家探讨青少年危机、身份认同和科技对人类生活的影响等问题。从美国的一个监狱到芬兰的一所废弃核电站，再到朝鲜的一家牛仔裤加工厂，本届纪录片邀您倾听来自北欧的对世界问题和人类发展的思考之声。

除了纪录片展映之外，今年我们还会举办北欧摄影展，介绍来自九个北欧艺术家的最新纪实摄影作品。影展所选用的摄影作品均呈现世界范围的故事以激起大众思索。

NORDOX旨在将北欧纪录片制作的最新发展呈现给观众，同时也为欧洲和亚洲的纪录片观众提供一个供讨论和交换意见的平台。

NORDOX – The Nordic Documentary Film Festival celebrates its seventh anniversary in China with a selection of films from all five of the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, in addition to a traveling festival program to Shanghai and Guangzhou, the Nordic photography exhibition and a panel discussion on documentary and journalism in collaboration with Caixin Media.  

This year, NORDOX explores several themes through films that take us to all corners of the globe, starting in the Nordic countries themselves, where filmmakers have examined the lives of two Nordic artists, one a Norwegian pop artist, and the other an Icelandic comedian-turned-politician. Other films in the NORDOX selection this year take us to Afghanistan, where filmmakers have captured intense moments of cross-cultural dialogue against the backdrop of war and foreign occupation, and from a unique Nordic perspective. Additional films touch upon youth in crisis, confused identities, and the influence of technology on human life. From a jail cell in America to a nuclear waste plant in Finland to a blue jeans factory in North Korea, the films investigate some of the most pressing and personal of global issues from an array of Nordic voices.

In addition to documentary film screenings, the festival will also feature the Nordic Photography Exhibition, presenting recent works in photojournalism from nine Nordic artists. The images selected for the exhibition this year explore stories from around the world.

The vision of NORDOX is to explore the language of documentary film and to screen documentaries that are cutting-edge and artistically ambitious. The festival also hopes to spread knowledge about Nordic culture in China, as well as to create opportunities for cross-cultural dialogue.

The public opening of our photography exhibition at V Art Center will feature discussions with the Norwegian photographer Elin Høyland and the Danish photographer Mads Nissen about their work in the exhibition. Elin Høyland will speak about her work “Rubbish Island on the Maldives” and Mads Nissen will discuss his award-winning portrait of the Norwegian prime minister after the Utoya incident, in addition to his series on the Libyan Revolution.
