《故事三之桃花源与乌托邦》
序言
栋帆的《故事》系列作品从一开始就以“艺术融入生活”的理念与大家见面。从08年冬天画廊顶面绘画《故事一寓言》，到09年夏天车库空间绘画《故事二童话》，再到2010年春天为西湖音乐节而创作的艺术海报《故事三桃花源与乌托邦》，栋帆身为清影团队的一员，与清影一起一直在努力探索将原创艺术融入大众的可能性。我们一直相信艺术是渴望超越生活的人的一种需要，而且坚信通过我们不懈的尝试与努力，会让更多的人来接触艺术，欣赏艺术，甚至思考艺术。
此次展览名叫“二重奏”，何谓二重奏？是艺术家作品名称中的《桃花源与乌托邦的》？艺术家作品中所描绘的美好与痛苦、理想与现实等矛盾的二重奏？设计师所设计的艺术周边产品与艺术作品的二重奏？亦或是此刻美妙的音乐与绘画，听觉与视觉的二重奏？或许它是艺术与商业的二重奏？你能找出更多的二重奏吗？让艺术家和清影最为期待的是这次新颖的展览与来到现场的您互动的双重演奏。

Foreword
Mr. Chen Dongfan’s serial painting Stories embraces the idea that art should go hand in hand with life from the very beginning. From the ceiling painting Story No. 1: Proverb in the winter of 2008, to the garage painting Story No. 2: the Fairy in the summer of 2009, and then to the poster Story No. 3: Shangari-la and Utopia created for the West Lake Music Festival of 2010 in this spring, Mr. Chen Dongfan has always been exploring the possibility of integrating original art with life, together with other team members of Inart Gallery. We believe that art is and has always been an indispensable part for people who value spiritual life as much as material life. We believe that through our perseverance and efforts more and more people will be touched by art, learn to appreciate art and even meditate art.
The exhibition is called Duet. So what does it refer to? Does it refer to the title of the painting Shangari-la and Utopia? Does it refer to the conflict between joy and pain, ideal and reality reflected in the painting? Does it refer to interaction between products and the painting? The duet of music and painting, sound and vision? Or duet of art and commerce? Can you find more reference to the name? Yet, the most expected duet to us, of course, is the interaction between you and our exhibition.
With the bright moon high above, let’s enjoy the visual feast brought by our artist Mr. Chen Dongfan and share the wonder brought by our designers. Listen, the music is inviting. Come and join us in this wonderful night!

艺术家自述
.我心中有两个人，一个叫天使，一个叫魔鬼。天使说其实我没有那么好，魔鬼说其实我没有那么坏。他们俩很纠结，也很纯洁，他们都是正直与善良的。天使好的没有那么心安理得，因为他知道自己没有足够的好；魔鬼坏的没有那么自行惭愧，因为他知道自己其实没有那么阴暗。他们是白与黑，是阳与阴，是快乐与忧郁，是阳光与黑夜，是晨曦散落在花瓣上的露珠与落日染红云朵的晚霞，是恋人微笑时彼此注视幸福的双眸与孤独的人在黑暗中独自哭泣时抽动的背影……我爱我心中的天使与魔鬼，他们就是我灵感的源泉。我呵护他们，聆听心的声音。感谢我身边的朋友，他们是如此的可爱，让我有足够的空间与时间来充实自己、释放自己，一起来聆听心灵深处纯洁、正直与善良的声音。

Artist Statement
Chen Dongfan
There are always two voices in me. One is that of angel and the other that of devil. The angel tells me that I am not that good, while the devil keeps reminding me that I am not that bad. They are in constant conflict. But both of them are pure, kind and honest. The angel doesn’t take his kindness for granted, knowing he is not good enough; The devil doesn’t feel ashamed for himself, knowing he is not that dark. The two of them represent white and black, yin and yang, happiness and sorrow , light and darkness. They are the dew that scatter on the petals in the first light of dawn, the burning evening clouds in the sunset. They are the gaze of joy when lovers smile at each other and they are the loneliness of the sad crying in the dark. I love my angel and devil. They are my sources of inspiration. I take good care of them so that I can hear them. I also want to thank my dear friends, who are so kind and indulgent that I have enough time to think and learn, to relax and meditate, to always be able to hear the voices from deep inside. Mr. Chen Dongfan’s collection of paintings reminds me of what Kangdinsky once said, “Color is the key. The eye is the hammer. The soul is the piano with its many chords.” Rich-colored and full of clear images, his paintings embody his imagination of the ideal world beyond music and reality. The boundary between music and painting is blurred in his works, which, to certain extend, shows his further understanding of painting, or the visual art. In the painting “Shangri-la”, he shows us a dazzling world with his devotion and imagination. The conflict between chaos and order, darkness and light, happiness and sorrow, ideal and reality are represented in a most natural way, which almost brings to us a sensation of treasure-hunting in the real world. Hence we come to know that behind that indifferent face, he is indeed a man of passion.
On the other hand, the products developed with the paintings show his ambition to integrate art with life, which perhaps can truly embody his way of thinking and longing for purity. It’s an attempt of self-challenge and transcendence. We, as the viewers, are privileged to witness that intelligence through our eyes.

骑着木马兜看风景，全凭目光的找寻，在画面里寻找故事。情节百转千回，一知半解时最有味道。如果具备心智的觉察，在画面里你尽情舒展，不为别的，只为捕获一丝共鸣的震颤和心头的刹那悸动。如果存有现实的纠葛，或许也能找寻到现世的法则。总之，一切只存在画中。在意它时，画是儿时游戏的水绕；不在意时，也会是兜看的风景。不用动，目光自然跟着画面游，游进一个镜像的国度！看看能神游到几时？比较喜欢这样去欣赏。

Playing with Water
The first time I saw Mr. Chen Dongfan’s painting was during the Graduation Exhibition held in Inart Gallery. With its dream-like quality, his painting is more like an amusement park.
Looking at his painting is like a journey of story-hunting on a merry-go-round. Sometimes you seem to be lost in the labyrinth-like painting, yet find it a moment most enchanting. With an intellectual insight you may find the painting touching your heart’s string. With worldly knowledge, on the other hand, you may find it also an allegory. In a word, the painting has it all. A careful observation of the painting brings you back to your childhood time of playing with water. A casual glance gives you a feast of images. It’s a kingdom of images. You just need to relax, drift away with it and be carried away. That’s the way I prefer when appreciating a painting like this.

起稿我喜欢即兴涂鸦的方式，让颜色自由流淌，顺着感觉肆意涂抹——如果自己画画也不自由，那么小时候涂鸦的乐趣也不能延续到现在了。我喜欢画画，因为很快乐。
我喜欢在一堆颜色里寻找画面。我一直固执的认为画就在这堆颜色里，我需要的就是耐心，耐心的寻找——这个过程很好玩，像探险。
私心杂念，有碍于想象力。需要静心聆听画面的声音。
欲望不够强烈，激情不够所以感情也难以投入。需要看看书、散散步，或者走出工作室去干点什么，到生活中去邂逅这张画。
其实这些支离破碎的故事都是活生生的发生在我身边的片段，我看到了、听到了、闻到了、想到了、感觉到了，就下意识的画了下来——其实我是一个优秀的撒谎者，我把现实说成了理想。
每一种颜色都有各自的性格，都有独特的声音，我只需要把他们谱到五线谱上，即可演奏美妙的音乐了。
维特根斯坦说对于一切不可说的必须保持沉默。我保持沉默，但是我却又画了出来——恩，我的确很纠结。
作品有没有感情并不是皱着眉头或捶胸跺脚就可以解决的。需要对所做的每件事都要注入情感，对每张画都要投入感情，时间长了，寥寥几笔也会感人——唉，画太少，现在只能做到滥情于物。
一类是关注大的，从社会、哲学、学术等出发，思考严肃的问题，做严肃的艺术。但是因为阅历和经验的贫乏，容易走入误区，用自己狭隘的世界观去创作，作品没有感情，艰涩难懂而又无病呻吟。
另一类是关注小的，从自我经验和生活感受出发，思考自身或自身环境，做感觉的艺术。但是因为视野和胸怀的不足，沉浸在自己的世界里，作品软弱无力，自哀自怨而又自鸣得意。
时刻提醒自己，要热爱生活，要有宽广的胸怀，要自省。
绘画、音乐、诗的创作都应该如涓涓溪流，自然流淌出来。
画画就像探险，险象环生，九死一生！但画到左边又柳暗花明，豁然开朗！我竟是如此享受，在自己创造出来的国度畅游，翱翔，静静地流淌！
让我们一起寻找迷失的桃花源，一起来共筑理想的乌托邦吧！
