“Take it Artside!”将艺术带给更多观众

日前,“Columns”群展在科隆DESAGA画廊举办,参加此次群展的艺术家包括Continuous Project、德克斯特·森尼斯特(Dexter Sinister)、贝恩德·克劳斯(Bernd Krauss)、罗马·昂达克(Roman Ondak)、赛斯·普莱斯(Seth Price)。

“Columns”群展对当前被用作一种策略的艺术实践加以了考察。参展的艺术家都是以对信息的宣传为依据选择的,而不是类似于艺术书籍这种小规模的出版物。参展作品包括报纸、杂志、博客和书籍,它们通过编辑、翻译或是分发的过程研究了信息传递的各种方式。此次展览展出了纸质作品、影像作品和装置作品,它们的短暂易逝的风格都是由艺术方面的历史、社会和经济因素决定的。在此次群展上,贝恩德·克劳斯与策展人合作,一起在画廊中建立起了一个模仿出版过程的环境。雕塑和以装置为基础的组分都按一定的次序加以摆放,这使得观众们能够更加深入地了解展出作品。
克劳斯在1999年时出版了一本名为“Der Riecher”的小型杂志,这本杂志的主要内容是关于一些报纸的公共和私密信息。“比你的邻居先写下Riecher(Write your Riecher before your neighbour does it)”是这本杂志的标语。这次展览展出了一些关于这本杂志现在的情况的东西;此外,在克劳斯停留在科隆的这段时间中,他还将继续出版“Der Riecher”。

斯洛伐克艺术家罗马·昂达克的作品“Awaiting Enacted”展现了经济萧条时期的信息传播的提供和需求。他用一些人们在商店和公共建筑前排队的照片,代替了一份当地仍在发行的免费报纸中的所有图片。在这件拼贴画中,队列成为了一种新的交流方式。
德克斯特·森尼斯特的作品“True Mirror Microfiche”是他与大卫·莱因福特(David Reinfurt)一起创作的。这是一件以演讲的形式展出的作品,它为这次群展赋予了特别的意义。
赛斯·普莱斯的作品“Dispersion”讨论了艺术历史上关于传播的特点。“如果一位艺术家打算直接将作品释放到一个以复制品和分配为生存基础的体系,或是鼓励污染、借鉴、偷盗以及水平模糊的模式中会怎么样?艺术体系通常会吸收一些不好的作品,但是它如何才能从上千件自由流通的作品中驱除它们呢?”

Continuous Project由贝蒂娜(Bettina Funcke)、韦德·盖顿(Wade Guyton)、赛斯·普莱斯、约瑟夫·洛根(Joseph Logan)组成。他们的作品主要部分都是黑色和白色的复印件。
