前言：
直到现在，在这个世界上，有些人，他们常常会在某些时刻拿着画笔，在纸上、画布上挥涂着颜料，以渡过他们最为静寂的时光。描绘出一个画面——绘画，仍是一门古老的艺术，对于它的产生有着种种猜测，但我相信，每个人心里都有一种欲望，就是去传达一个形象，或者是用一个画面来表达自己所要表达的——通过自己的描绘或“书写”。我以为远古西班牙阿尔塔米拉洞穴里的动物形象是原始人最具有“书写”气质的图像。
“书写”并不局限于以文字词语媒介为基本单位的文学作品，甚至是绘画或书法或音乐及其他类型的艺术也应该可以被“书写”所描述。
这里的“镜”包含有：镜中之“景”与“境”的内容。“景”是创作者所“书写”的场景，环境甚至是人物道具等；“境”是“意境”，这与中国画的意境的道理有些相近，但可能古代的“意境”和现当代的“意境”已大不相同了。在这些年轻艺术家们绘画里我们都能看到不同的书写与表达，看到他们所造之“镜”。亦可能是他们心灵之“镜”，也可能是我们这个时代，这个社会的隐喻之“镜”。
任何书写，都只是尽力去描绘所见或所想的世界，或者真实，或者虚构，是一种由“自我”而发的镜像。我们所“见”，都是一种刻意营造出来的现实，而我们的反应取决于我们内在的敏感，我们采取怎么样的方式来处理我们所面对的这个现实，绘画，作为一种感官的“书写”载体，它成为一种路径，通向未知的镜像世界。
