《这里，那里，哪里？》，是两位年轻的80后艺术家Sim Chan和孙宇的双人油画作品展。他们以画为媒介探求人类生存的本质，是对人和建筑（物质世界）、人和自我（内心世界）之间关系的一次尝试阐释。

孙宇在肖像画这一不算新潮的领域里施展出精妙的绘画技巧，他捕捉住了被画者潜意识的神色，再将这种瞬间的感觉具象在观者面前，以引起观者与画中人意识上的共鸣。他的作品色彩冷冽，有时背景被故意虚化，并喜用局部色彩表现肖像脸部的细微神态，这些特点都使得画面充满了感染力。

陈闪，这位居住在香港的年轻画家，借由他的作品来表达在香港这样一个高度物质化的浮躁的城市里，人们对寻求生活意义的深切渴望。画中那些充满诗意的曼妙的天空被不断扩张的扭曲的高楼所包围，象征着人所必须的生活基本要素在被冷酷的现实一点一点吞噬。

两位艺术家的作品都描绘了生存在城市里人们的焦虑不安，同时也反映了现今社会里最本质的人性。

This exhibition features oil paintings of two post 80's artists, Sim Chan and Sun Yu. They both explore the nature of human existence, the relationship between man and architecture (the material world) and that between human and self (the inner world).

Sun Yu exploits his excellent painting techniques in the unfashionable field of portraiture, catching the look of the sitter in his self-consciousness and bouncing the ephemeral essence of 'one' to the viewer calling a resonance of another consciousness. He works with a neutral colour pallet the background softened and partially painted faces catching emotion.

Sim Chan, a young artist living in Hong Kong, this highly materialistic superficial city, expresses his craving for the meaning of life through his paintings of beautiful poetic sky surrounded by expanding distorted high rise buildings encumbered with the essential elements of human living.

Both artists' works portray the angst of the human condition in an urban environment and reflect on the essential human nature in current times.
