1970年出生于法国

Matthieu是一位目前居住在巴黎，饥渴但摩登的艺术家。他在法国能一举成名是因为他吃饭从不需要付钱。他每一次吃了，便要求退款，原因是这些食物都无法让他百分百的满意。这是他其中一个针对社会消费观念的作品。这以后他的项目也更多的试图超越对免费消费物品的饥渴转向如何去赚取贪而无言的媒体对于图像的饥渴。

他游戏于日常，名利场和市场之间。这些都从电视开始，有一次matthieu参与了一个法国电视台的综艺节目，主持人问道他对于自己前途的看法时，matthieu毫不犹豫的回答自己想当一位--多媒体艺术家。

在受邀参加威尼斯双年展时，matthieu还要求不以国家身份参与，他的项目《wanted:financial support to acquire citizenship》 “求：为获取公民身份的捐款”尝试获取更多的国籍身份，他四处筹款来支持这个想法，甚至还用上了一个巨大无比的捐款箱。

探讨当代社会中的观念艺术，波普与及对制度的批评是他作品的主要内容。
