Since June 2010, Japanese contemorary artist Shimura Hidemi has lived in True Color Museum in Suzhou as a residency artist. This time she will do solo exhibition to show what she has made in Suzhou.

“Silent Invader” series
She presents “Silent Invader” series by showing many different color’s artworks. Technique of making these artworks is coiling embroidery thread on plastic board, then stick it together with copied barcode thing. These works are about consumerism, and color part itself expresses our daily normal life. So each work expresses small part of the world around us. This time she used silk embroidery thread in Suzhou, made 12 double-sided artworks.
