She has conductedresidencies in Spanish villages, in the castle of Robin Hood in Nottingham, inKinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo ... She has madenumerous collaborations with poets (Charles Pennequin Olivier Desmarais. ..)and musicians (Wen Chin Fu, Martin Francois Arnaud Abbati, Sébastien Lemporte...). 当时我想要穿长袜配短裙，然后就让母亲为我买一双。那时时尚童装并不多，所以找到一双适合一个12岁女孩瘦小身躯的长袜是比较困难的。对我作为一个孩子来说，它们有的偏大了，但对我作为一个女人来说，它们有的又偏小了。我亲爱的妈妈找到了一双最小的长袜并为我买了下来。但当我穿上时，还是觉得太大了，我简直可以把我头部以下的全身塞进那双袜子里。
当母亲问我长袜是否合适时，我记得我告诉她袜子非常合身，然后我把身体和双手都塞进袜子里，穿上厚底鞋走到她面前去。

In 1975 I was 12years old, I was still a child and not a teenager yet. It was the seventies,the era of theplatformshoes and wide-legged, flared jeans.
I wanted to wearstockings with my skirt and I asked my mum to buy me a pair. Fashion forchildren at that time was limited and it was difficult to find a pair thatwould suit a 12 year old’s skinny body, they were either too big for a child ortoo small for a woman. My beloved mum bought me the smallest pair she could find.Itried them on and they were too big for me that I could squeeze in all my bodyinside except for the head.
When my mum asked howthey were fitting me, I remember that I replied that they were great and Iwalked in front of her with my platform shoes, the torso and two arms insidethe stocking.

Lives andworks in Basel.
SaskiaEdens was born in Geneva where she is graduated in 2002 from the Ecolesupérieure des Beaux-arts and the Ecole des Arts décoratifs. From 1999 to 2000she studied at the Akademie der bildenden Künste, Vienna. She now lives andworks in Basel, Switzerland.
Saskia Edens works with moltenmetal, video, photography, as well as with moulding techniques and performance.She likes to confront and combine these various mediums.
Her work on body movement, whichshe explores simultaneously with the artistic studies that she is stillpursuing, feeds and illuminates her performative and visual work.
These last years she has beenworking more profoundly on live performance participating in internationalfestivals of performances in Asia (South Korea), Europe (Nordic countries andEstonia, Latvia, Germany, France, Serbia, Poland, Switzerland) America(New York, Desert of Nevada).
On
Through performance art projects,she started collaborations with other artists like Non Grata performance groupand sound artists like Daniel Buess, Mathieu Sylvestre.
Her installations, videos andobjects were shown in Switzerland and abroad - including in the Fotomuseum Winterthur(exhibition Darkside II) in Kunstmuseum Thun, Kunsthaus Baselland, in the WyspaProgress Institute in Gdansk, in Kunstverein Freiburg, in the gallery Nicolavon Senger Zürich and in Aargauer Kunsthaus. 2008 she received the culturalprize of the Alexandre Clavel foundation. Having won recently the competitionof Kunstkredit, the installation "Magma" was realized as a permanentinstallation for the Building of Brunnmatchulhaus, Basel.
