李竞雄在空白空间北京的第二回个展“BEAST 54”将于2016年3月5日开幕。将展出他过去两年中创作的野兽绘画

自2014年空白空间的首个个展LeJX后，李竞雄继续以一种后历史的实践态度，在历史残留物中挑选出被宏观叙事所屏

蔽的美学痕迹，并尝试将这种美学痕迹转化为一种意志性的行动——亦如本次个展展题“BEAST 54”所示，欲望与野

心在此升华为一种内在的驱动力。

李竞雄 1987 年出生于安徽芜湖，2013 年毕业于南京艺术学院，获得硕士学位。近期的展览包括：我们，一个关于中

We are pleased to present Li Jingxiong's second solo exhibition "BEAST 54", will be opened on March 5, 2016. This exhibition will showcase the paintings of Beast paintingscreated by the artist over the past two years (2014 - present) alongside the EGOBY project (2014 - present) as well as portrait photography.  

Ever since his first solo show “LeJX” in White Space Beijing, Li Jingxiong has continued to adopt a posthistorical attitude in his art practice, raking through the ashes of history in his search for individuality shrouded over by the grand narratives. He attempts to transform this individuality into an act of willpower. Furthermore, as shown in the title of this exhibition "BEAST 54" desire and ambition are hereby sublimated into a kind of internal driving force.  

Li Jingxiong (b. 1987, Wuhu, Anhui Province, China) received his BFA and MFA in Oil Painting at Nanjing University of Arts in 2013. Recent exhibitions include: "We, A Community of Chinese Contemporary Artists", K11 Art Museum, Shanghai, China (2016); "The Longest Yard", 9m2 Museum, Shanghai, China (2015); "Absolute Collection Guideline" Collection Exhibition, Sifang Art Museum, Nanjing, China (2015); "Invisible Hand: Curating as Gesture - The 2nd CAFAM Biennale", CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM), Beijing, China (2014). Li Jingxiong currently lives and works in Nanjing and Shanghai, China.
